Even though Summer isn’t officially over, it’s getting ready to come to an end soon. It’s so crazy that we have less than 3 1/2ish months left of this year. Even though this Summer was a strange one due to COVID, that didn’t stop me from buying new beauty products.
I’m going to be rounding up my favorite beauty products that I have been loving this past season. From skin, hair, body, and more! I have been keeping a running list of things I have been trying to round up this post for you guys! Let’s dive in.
1.) Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen
As we all know, sunscreen is a HUGE must have in your everyday routine. Sunscreen should be incorporated everyday — no matter the season. As a skincare junkie, I have tried a ton of sunscreens and this is by far one of my favorites. I love the texture and it doesn’t leave a white cast.
2.) CosRX Snail Mucin Power Essence
Okay this sounds a little suspect, but hear me out! I’m planning on doing an entire post about essences so stay tuned for that. But I have had this product on my list for a while and I was hoping it would be on another Ulta 21 days of Beauty, but I just went ahead and pulled the trigger. I’m so happy I didn’t wait any longer. I’m obsessed! I never thought I would be slapping snail mucin all over my face, but it had been a great addition to my skincare routine.
3.) Cocokind Chlorophyll Mask*
This has been a great mask to add to my weekly mask rotation. It feels like my skin is drinking a green juice. It’s great for detoxing and clarifying the skin. Ever since masks have been apart of our daily lives now, I have been seeing some congestion around my chin. I will use this as a spot treatment, or all over the face. It comes in a powder form, and the product description states you can mix it with anything such as rose water, yogurt, etc. But I just mix with water. Also, it’s only two ingredients! Spirulina powder and chlorophyll powder.
4.) Dr. Bronners Peppermint Castile Soap
I have always been a fan of Dr. Bronners castile soaps. I love how multi use they are. I use them for cleaning my makeup brushes, shower use, and now I use it to clean my masks!
5.) Boscia Indigo Eye Cream
It’s been a while since I have tried an eye cream that actually works. I love this because it pairs well with my serums and it also brightens. It’s also a great base for your under eye concealer as it hydrates and doesn’t flake.
6.) The Ordinary Retinol 0.2% with Squalane
During quarantine, I decided I wanted to add a retinol to my skincare routine. Retinol’s can be intimidating because you have to be careful when using it. Your skin has to build tolerance to retinol. I started out using it once a week then working my way up to 3x’s a week. I have noticed a huge difference in my skin! It’s brighter, and I have noticed a difference in the texture.
7.) Virtue Exfoliating Scalp Treatment*
A new launch from Virtue, I was so excited when they sent me their scalp treatment line. I have been looking into taking better care of my scalp as that is the key to hair growth and this couldn’t have come at a better time. I tend to get a lot of product buildup when I style and refresh my hair and this has been helpful with getting rid of the gunk and makes my scalp feel extra clean.
8.) Maison Margiela Replica Beach Walk
I don’t usually share a lot of fragrances but this is one of my favorites during the Summer. It’s light, refreshing, and honestly smells like a vacation.
9.) Method Pure Peace Body Wash
Oh my goodness! This is heaven in a bottle! I picked this up on a whim during one of my many Target runs and it smells so good! It has peony, rose water, and pink sea salt. Surprisingly, it doesn’t dry out my skin or leave any type of irritation since my skin is super sensitive.
10.) Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint
I shared this in my Full Face of Glossier post and it’s been one of my Summer staples. While I haven’t been wearing a ton of makeup during this time, if I wanted to look presentable for a Zoom call or shoot photos for the blog, this is perfect for that.
11.) DHC Deep Cleansing Facial Oil
Hands down, this is one of my favorite cleansing oils. I usually will branch out to try different brands and types, but will always come back to DHC. Double cleansing is a process that has changed my skin. During the summer and now that we are wearing masks, I have been making sure I do it more consistently. I love how this one feels on my skin and how it emulsifies. A little goes a long way. All you need is 1-2 pumps and you’re good to go!
I have tried out so many products this Summer but these are the ones that I reached for the most. What were some of your favorite beauty products? Have you tried any of these? I would love to hear your thoughts!
