While we are all doing our best to #stopthespread and staying healthy, sitting in the house can give and social distancing is a great time to catch up on those much needed chores or tasks that have been sitting on your to-do list. Of course I have those days where I want to lounge and watch Bravo all day, but I do want to get some things done as well.
I made a list of things I wanted to do during my two weeks at home and I figured I would share with you guys. Maybe we have some of the same tasks in common and this could be your motivation to get them done.
1.) Clean Makeup Brushes
It is actually pretty embarrassing to think of the last time I cleaned my makeup brushes. Let’s just say, its been a while. This will be the perfect time to get them done because my makeup use is pretty limited and I have the time to do so!
2.) Declutter beauty items
As a blogger, I get a lot of makeup and skincare items sent to me. In addition to getting PR boxes, I like to actually go out and purchase beauty products as well. Beauty products do expire! Using expired products changes how the product works and it will cause a negative effect on your skin.
3.) Purge my phone
Think about all of those apps and contacts you don’t use anymore. Trust me, your phone will thank you for the extra space.
4.) Clean closet
Since I’m moving soon, I need to let go of things I haven’t worn in a while. A good rule of thumb is that if you haven’t worn it in a year, get rid of it. Try to make some extra cash and sell on Poshmark or to your local Buffalo Exchange.
5.) FaceTime friends and family
Since we are social distancing, this will be a great time to connect with your friends and family. Also since you have the time, you can catch up with friends.
6.) Have fun/learn Tik Tok
Regardless of the opinions, I think Tik Tok is going to be the next big social media platform. Click here to follow me!
7.) Read more
One of my 2020 goals is to take more time out of my day to read. Reading used to be one of my favorite activities and it’s actually a stress reliever. I have a few books that I’m reading right now and will share to the blog soon.
Before I close out this post, I understand we all want to be productive during this time, but please do not beat yourself up if you didn’t get as much done during the day. Have a fresh start tomorrow. If you’re working from home, of course still fulfill your obligation. Don’t feel the need to be pressured in to keeping up with hustle culture! Take this time to reflect and relax as well.
Do you have a social distancing to-do list? I would love to know! Let’s chat in the comments.
