You guys know how much I love easy beauty. I don’t think we can talk about easy beauty without talking about Glossier. If you guys have been following me for the past couple of years, then you will know how much I love Glossier and their entire brand aesthetic. I love the “skin first, makeup second” motto the brand loves to stick by.
I have tried out Glossier’s skincare products but I just started to dabble in their makeup products. Glossier reached out to me to send a few things in preparation for their pop up launch and I wanted to try more products. I placed an order last week and I can’t wait to dive in to share my thoughts.
I want to put this out there before we begin. Glossier’s makeup isn’t the type of products to achieve a full coverage beat. If you’re expecting that, then you will be disappointed. These products have little coverage, sheer, and is meant to give you a wash of color.
Products Mentioned in Video and Thoughts
Perfecting Skin Tint: I have been curious to try this out for a while now. I want to say last year I believe, Glossier has expanded the shade range and changed the formula. Glossier describes skin tint as a sheer skin enhancer to even out your skin tone for a dewy and smooth finish.
I loveeeed skin tint. This product is great for everyday wear if you don’t want to use a foundation, perfect for traveling, and being at home for your Zoom meetings when you want to look put together. I have textured skin and hyperpigmentation — so I was a little nervous to try this out because of my skin issues. But I loved how this turned out.
Stretch Concealer: I have been using stretch concealer is G5 to brighten my under eye area but I ordered G4 to use when I want to cover up my acne scarring. After I applied the skin tint, I used the stretch concealer in G4 just to add a little bit of coverage.
Wowder: While I love dewy and hydrated skin, I do tend to get oily in my t-zone. I lightly set my t-zone with wowder and I love how lightweight it is. It doesn’t settle in to fine lines, or leave a film.
Cloud Paint: Another product I have been wanting to try because I have heard great reviews. I’m not a huge blush fan but I do like to add a little bit of color to the cheekbones. After looking at all of the shades, I went with “dusk” because it was the most natural looking.
Skywash: I did a full review on Skywash on IGtv almost a month ago and it’s still one of my favorite products. Perfect if you’re not an eyeshadow gal and just want a wash of color.
Overall, I enjoyed the products I have tried out and I’m looking forward to trying more. I plan to keep these products in the rotation to achieve an easy everyday look. Oh and the great thing is that you only need your fingers to apply the liquid and cream based products. But you can still use a beauty blender or brush if you like. Glossier essentially created their makeup to make you look and feel your best and I love that!
